Banh Tet – Sticky Rice Flavored with Mung Beans and Pork, Steamed in a Banana Leaf.

Banh Tet is dish that is mostly eaten during the lunar new year.  Sticky rice is soaked in water.  The sticky rice is spread on a banana leaf.  It’s than topped with mung beans and pork, or it’s stuffed with bananas.  The mixture is than wrapped tied and steamed until the rice is cooked through.  It can be eaten like this or fried in a pan with some oil until crispy
